Successes from Track Season 2026

Ike's Spikes Indy had significant successes in our first season operating. It gave us a lot of experience and knowledge going into next cross-country season and also improved several athletes. Here are some major bullet points:

  • Worked with several high schools and attended pre-season meets to procure over 120 pairs of spikes

  • Redistributed our first 7 pairs of spikes to boys at a Hendricks County HS, all of whom competed with spikes afterward

  • Redistributed pairs across 2 other schools and several track disciplines to get to total of 12 pairs redistributed worth over $1200 in equipment

  • Sent emails to many Indianapolis schools to increase connections, prepare for cross-country season

  • Brought in 17 pairs of spikes from Zionsville end-of-season donations, all from social media promotion

  • Cleaned and processed all 135+ pairs that came in

Cross-country season should provide many more spikes to athletes now that we have had experience and there are still hundreds of schools left to reach out to. Lets go Ike's Spikes Indy!
